Driving at night when I turn the light switch to the left to brighten the dash lights, the dash goes black, turn signal lights on dash come on and full gauge goes to empty. Chaecked everything I know.

I had a 1989 Camaro with similar problems. I changed the switch that is mounted to the steering column. It was a pain to get to! The part was pretty cheap, but it did the trick.
