It seems that the rims on my Camaro get dirty extremely fast, even about a half hour after I initially wash them. Is there a typical reason for this, or am I doomed to be a slave to my rims? I believe that I heard something about the brakes causing issues like this. Is there anything I can do?

I don't think that you're going to be a “slave” to your Camaro's rims for long. I believe that the brakes can cause a lot of the dirt you are referring to, and you may have asbestos pads. If you really want to improve your situation, I think you need to change to ceramic pads.

Thanks a lot man. I've been looking around everywhere for help but I didn't even consider that it could be the asbestos brake pads. Why does it make such a difference when changing to ceramic pads? Is this something that is going to cost a significant amount?

When you brake hard with any auto the dust will kick up to the rims, thats natural. What type of cleaner are you using and what type of rag as well?

I have this cloth that I use to clean off my monitor with (its a flat screen) called Easy Shammy, Its made of microfiber and really soft so it wont leave etch marks and I use it for my cameras as well. Its possible you could try something like this for a quick wipe down.
