A powerful engine which could put a considerable amount of horsepower on the ground when it was needed, the 1967 Camaro’s engine was a specially engineered piece of machinery which was made for power and delivered power very well. Finding your 1967 Camaro Parts

July 19, 2008

The 1967 Camaro is the first ever version of the classic muscle car Chevrolet Camaro to be released. The car still enjoys high popularity these days and 1967 Camaro Parts are one of the most sought after car parts for car restoration work.

The 1967 Camaro is one of the most sought after classic muscle car. Thus, it is quite understandable that 1967 Camaro parts are often priced at a premium. The rarity of the car coupled with the rarity of the car parts and the substantial custom work that needs to be done to make 1967 Camaro parts that are as tough, durable and trustworthy as the original really adds up to the price of 1967 Camaro parts.

The most common 1967 Camaro parts are usually made by specialists. The actual car part is created by a skilled machinist who are simply duplicating the original car part that has survived over the years and can be used as a guide for reproduction. Thus, a problem in finding 1967 Camaro parts is that there is a question of how well the part was machined, how durable was the material used and if the part that was duplicated is actually a 1967 Camaro part or of a later model. 1967 Camaro parts that you buy should be specifically made for the 1967 Camaro car model. Although the models closer to the 1967 Camaro model shared parts with the car, later models were already too different mechanically to donate parts to the 1967 Camaro. Thus, a main concern when buying 1967 Camaro parts is whether or not the part will fit the car right. This is also affected by the quality of the machining. Poorly copied 1967 Camaro parts will not fit correctly as a replacement for the original 1967 Camaro parts. The quality of the material is also another concern as the car part is expected to perform and last longer. A lower grade of material used could lead to additional problems which may be caused by the malfunction of the low quality car part.

The popularity of the 1967 Camaro has increased the market for 1967 Camaro parts. Thus, hunting for 1967 Camaro parts should be less of a hassle nowadays for 1967 Camaro restorers and enthusiasts. However, it is still important to check the quality of the parts to make sure that it actually fits the 1967 Camaro and that it does not break down easily which might even cause additional problems with the car as well.

The Coming of the New Chevrolet Camaro

July 19, 2008

Though it hasn’t even entered production yet, the new Chevrolet Camaro Concept has become one of the most talked about cars in the American car industry. The Camaro line of cars has been in production since 1967 and was only discontinued in 2002, an impressive production span of 35 years.

Ever since the Chevrolet Camaro was discontinued in 2002, fans of the Camaro have been waiting impatiently for the new Chevrolet Camaro to be released. So far, GM has only introduced a number of new Chevrolet Camaro concept cars. A new Chevrolet Camaro production car still has not materialized. Reports, however have indicated that a line of new Chevrolet Camaro cars will be coming out by 2010. If this prediction actually comes true, this will be the fifth generation of the Chevrolet Camaro.

The first signal of the coming of a new Chevrolet Camaro first came out in 2006, during the North American International Auto Show. This concept version of the new Chevrolet Camaro tries hard to follow the footsteps of the original Camaro, featuring such iconic details as a two doors, four passenger format, rear wheel driven and connected to a powerful engine. The new Chevrolet Camaro also takes advantage of new car technologies, sporting a four wheel independent suspension system, four wheel disc brakes featuring four piston calipers and 14 inch rotors and different sized front and rear wheels. The front wheels are 21 inch wheels while the rear wheels are 22 inch wheels. The engine is an 6 litre LS2 V8 featuring Active Fuel Management and acapable of 400 hp.

In 2007, a new Chevrolet Camaro Concept was also unveiled. While the model shown in 2006 was a two door coupe, the 2007 model was a two door convertible. The design of the new Chevrolet Camaro Concept of 2007 differed significantly from the 2006 Chevrolet Camaro Concept. The 2007 concept car featured a number of exterior changes which ultimately subtly reshaped the car. A few of the changes include a drop off of the fender lines, reshaping of the rear spoiler and a redesign of the wheels which received a thin orange line at the outer edge. The mechanical specs of the car still remains similar with the model released in 2006, however.

The introduction of the new Chevrolet Camaro Concept has severely excited the car markets. The new Chevrolet Camaro received a lot of exposure in the media and even received spots in several movies.
